My Story

The roots of my work are found in my longstanding identification with the natural world. I see myself not as separate from nature but as abiding in its flow. I often think in geologic time, while navigating the temporal world we have created.

The thrill of arriving at the mountain top is really a function  of the intimacy found in the journey along the trail.  This macro/micro experience of the world is infused into all my work.

The process of making my work  is a meditation in the cycles of nature. If you discover a piece that makes you feel more connected to the earth consider giving it a home with you.
